Devoted to Death: Santa Muerte, the Skeleton Saint by R. Andrew Chesnut
Santa Muerte research…
Cultures of Devotion: Folk Saints of Spanish America by Frank Graziano
I’m reading this one as I work on my religious studies thesis research on Santa Muerte. While this books doesn’t deal with the Bony Lady directly, the material covers folk saints nicely.
Woman and Nature: The Roaring Inside Her by Susan Griffin
Another one for the “Ecofeminism” course. We began with this book, but after reading and researching the material in the first chapter (Matter), we moved on to Earthcare. I’d probably like to finish this one sometime in the future.
Earthcare: Women and the Environment by Carolyn Merchant
This book is part of the reading list for my “Feminism, Ecology, and Religion” course.
Tao Te Ching: A New English Version by Stephen Mitchell
Also for the “Intro to Easter Religions” course.
The Sacred Paths of the East, 3rd Edition by Theodore M. Ludwig.
I like to post the material I’m reading for school (I will not post about my statistics books though..). However, school started a couple months back, so this is a little late. The above title is for my “Introduction to Eastern Religions” online class.
Bed? Pfft. Readin’ up on the Hoodoo/Vodou/Juju and Western Magical Tradition mutations tonight. Took me a while to get to it though..
Written by my one of favorite dudes, Austin Coppock, this almanac will be one of my useful tools while riding the Ship of Fools this year. Having studied astrology under Austin, I heavily endorse his skills.
